Climbing Nevado Ishinca
Ishinca (5,550m/18,208ft) is a mountain located in the Cordillera Blanca, in the Ishinca Ravine, Áncash, district and province of Huaraz, in the in the Peruvian Andes. Due to its realtively easy access, it makes it an ideal option notably for people without experience in mountaineering.

Day 01: Huaraz – Pashpa – Base Camp Ishinca (4,300m/14,107ft)
After breakfast in the hotel, you will board our private bus and drive up to the trailhead Pashpa (3670m), where we will meet the donkey drivers. We will start our ascent along the Ishinca Valley. After the National Parks control check-in, we will take our lunch break. We will then continue walking for about 5h up to Base Camp Ishinca. We will take the time to check our climbing equipment for the next day and enjoy our first dinner together. Overnight camping at 4300m.
Day 02: Base Camp – Summit Ishinca (5,550m/18,208ft)– Base Camp
We will have an early breakfast, around 3am, then start hiking at 3.30am to the glacier. After about 2h, we will arrive at the foot of the glacier and equip ourselves with our climbing gear. The climb up to the summit will take us about 3h. There at 5550m, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain peaks around (Tocllaraju, Akilpo, Copa, Ranrapalca, among others), the valley and its lakes. We will then head back down. After about 2h, we will get to Moraine camp and then continue to Base Camp, arriving around 4:30pm. Overnight camping at 4300m.
Day 03: Base Camp of Ishinca– Pashpa – Huaraz
We will have breakfast around 8am and headback to Huaraz via the same route; downhill to Pashpa, via the Huascaran National Park control, then to Pashpa, and finally to your hotel in Huaraz. We will have lunch on the way and should arrive in Huaraz around 2pm.
