Running along the western side of South America (from Venezuela to Chile, passing by Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina), the Andes have a multitude of landmarks, including: glaciers, volcanoes, grasslands, deserts, lakes, and forests. They are also home to pre-Columbian archaeological sites, and a very rich flora and fauna.

Nevado Alpamayo Expedition

A 7-day expedition to Alpamayo ('Allpa mayu' in Quechua), also locally-known as 'Shuytu rahu' (meaning 'snowy oblong' in Ancashino Quechua): a summit in the Andes mountain range, located in the north-west of the Cordillera Blanca , within the Huascarán National Park, western Peru.
